Learners at a Swaffham Bulbeck charity developed their understanding of gaming software during a skills day.

Service users at Red2Green, which helps young people and adults with learning disabilities and on the autistic spectrum, were visited by volunteers from ARM Holdings Plc.

Telmo Soares, from ARM, a multi-national semiconductor and software design company, used his volunteer day to work with Red2Green’s learners who have high functioning autism, to develop their gaming software programming skills.

Telmo said: “I hadn’t done this sort of volunteering before. It went so much better than I had expected, and from the feedback the learners really enjoyed it.

“Hopefully I have made them curious to learn more and have opened some doors for them to do that.

“I have left them with the resources to explore gaming programming further.”

The charity which every year helps 300 young people has worked closely with ARM for many years.
