LITTLE Downham couple Alan and Joan White have been recognised for their hard work and commitment in the local community.
Alan has contributed more than 50 years of his time and energy to do good work both locally and in the wider area of East Cambridgeshire.
Alan was born in Queen Adelaide and raised in Oxlode. He is shown with a water-colour of the former Crown pub alongside the 100 foot drain, painted by local artist Andy English. It was presented to him by local people in recognition of his service to the community. His wife Joan has supported him in all of his work and was presented with a bouquet.
