An Ely Standard reader has cme t the aid f nursery children whse garden was vandalised.

Great-grandfather Ray Crss, f Fairfax Curt, Ely, was mved t ffer a Cutlacks gardening vucher t the yungsters at Tiddlywinks nursery in Stretham, after reading the Ely Standard stry last week. The registered charity will nw be able t replace the wrecked plants and are planning a ptat crp.

Mr Crss said: "I used t be n the cmmittee fr Jubilee Gardens and we let sme f the kids cme dwn there nce a week. They gt s much pleasure ut f seeing things grw, and since I've gt a great grandsn wh's nly three, I srt f understd hw these kids must feel."

Sue Vardy, Tiddlywinks pre-schl manager said: "We are s grateful t Mr Crss fr his genersity. The kids will be delighted."
