EVERY time one of her smokers kicks the habit, Ely hypnotherapist Rachel Grabham will donate money to Liam's Fund.

Ms Grabham, who is a registered and qualified hypnotherapist, will donate £20 from each completed Quit Smoking programme to the CLIC Sargeant charity over the next six months, until February 2008.

She said: "I was so touched by Liam's story that I decided to give people the opportunity to improve their own health, while at the same time raising money for a good cause. The money that they would normally spend on cigarettes is going to help Liam raise his total. I lost my best friend to cancer last year so this is something that is very close to my heart."

Ms Grabham, who is a singer in her free time, was inspired to train as a hypnotherapist after it helped her get over her stage fright. "It worked so well for me, it's tempting every time you go past someone smoking in the street to drop a card in their pocket," she said.

Before starting, Ms Grabham offers a free consultation and discussion with no obligation or pressure to go ahead with The Quit Smoking Programme. Two-hour sessions will take place on a one-on-one basis in Ely Library each Thursday, and although only one session is usually needed, a three-week check up is free.
