Pupils at a primary school in Soham are putting their best feet forward thanks to a quirky new interactive device for learning and teaching.
The WizeFloor system has just been installed in The Shade school, allowing learning materials and games to be projected onto the floor.
Pupils can navigate with their arms, legs and feet, as they interact with WizeFloor’s games and other tools.
Head teacher, Lisa Gregory said: “The new WizeFloor system is already going down a storm with our students. They are very enthusiastic and totally engaged when using the games and activities to support their learning.”
The WizeFloor system was developed by the Alexandra Institute, in Denmark, seven years ago and its success has seen it spread rapidly into classrooms.
The Shade is Cambridgeshire’s first school to install the WizeFloor, and Ms Gregory will be welcoming teachers at other schools to open days, where they can see the pupils in action for themselves.
