Raising aspirations and helping year five students from six primary schools to prepare for their future, the Ely Schools Partnership Careers Event welcomed representatives from a number of businesses and organisations.

The workers explained to students from Downham Feoffees, St John’s, St Mary’s Junior, Lantern Community, Littleport Community and Millfield about what their jobs involve, whilst helping them think about their career choices.

The morning sessions included interactive activities to get the students involved in the event. Then, in the afternoon, year nine students from Ely College were able to talk to exhibitors, asking career questions to gain an insight into the world of work.

The ECU Trust and the Rotary Club of Littleport sponsored and helped arrange the event.
