Primary School in Witchford have been rehearsing a production of the musical Scheherazade.
Poking around in a junk shop, two children (Daniel Miller and Sierra Humbert) discover a copy of the book Tales of the Arabian Nights.
A mysterious character (Dominic Bailey suddenly appears and tells the children the story of Princess Scheherazade (Jolen Brooks) who believes she can break the evil spell which has made the Sultan (Thomas Matcham) so bitter and cruel that he marries and then kills a new bride every night.
The princess, aided by her sister Dinazade (Sophie Denly) plans to marry the sultan and then tell such interesting stories that he will wish to hear more and keep her alive.
Performances took place on Wednesday and tonight (Thursday). The musical was directed by the school's deputy head Suzanne Carter.
