A LTTLEPORT driver who forced a car off the road as she carried out an overtaking manoeuvre has admitted careless driving.

Janice Tucker was driving a Mazda 6 along the Twenty Pence Road at Cottenham on February 16 when she started to overtake slower traffic.

"She failed to see a Vauxhall Corsa was already in an overtaking position and pulled out directly into its path," prosecutor Angela Sassoli told Ely magistrates on Thursday.

"The other car left the road, both vehicles were damaged and the Corsa driver suffered slight injuries."

Tucker, 46, of Kirby Cross Avenue, Littleport, had her clean licence endorsed with six points.

She was also fined £200 with £35 costs.
