Ely Foodbank has won a £2,000 cash boost thanks to a public vote.
The money comes from the inaugural Hopkins Homes Cambridgeshire Charity of the Year public vote.
The foodbank was one of six good causes shortlisted for a pay-out and county residents were able to vote for their favourite.
Bobby Scheme was the overall winner picking up £7,000, with the foodbank coming second and receiving the £2,000, in third place was the Huntingdonshire Area Money Advice Service which received £1,000.
James Hopkins, executive chairman of Hopkins Homes said: “We are delighted with the level of local engagement that the vote received.”
