It was posh frocks or suited and booted for Ely College students on Friday when teenagers marked the end of their school days in style.
About 200 Year 11 students attended their end of school prom on Friday, bringing colour and celebration to the event held at the Maltings.
Couples arrived in amazing carriages ranging from tractors, a tandem, a hunter’s truck, a double decker bus and an array of limousines to enjoy the evening prepared for them by the school.
Lynn Riches, senior progress leader, said: “It was an excellent night. We usually have a prom king and queen but they all looked so stunning we just couldn’t choose one this year.
“Everybody looked amazing. They really pulled out all the stops.”
This year’s prom did not have a theme but instead it was a dress to impress affair with a disco, nibbles and a sweet cart for the evening.
