AN £80,000 project to build a skatepark in St John's Road in Ely was officially opened by Ely mayor John Ison on Saturday (December 9).

The park, which was designed by Ely Youth Council member Bertie Buck, of Prickwillow Road, Ely, will be used by skate-boarders and BMX riders.
