A MIX-up over his appointment with the probation service meant Soham man Carl Scarrow could not be sentenced this week.

He had failed to visit a probation officer when requested, so there was not a report available for Ely magistrates.

Scarrow, 25, of Broad Piece, Soham, had admitted stealing a 16-valve Vauxhall cylinder head, two RS turbo inlet plenums, a Cosworth YB plenum and a quantity of scrap metal worth £1,000, belonging to Derek Scarrow.

The court ordered another report, and Scarrow is due back for sentencing on March 22.
