THE chance to win a year's free entrance to Ely Cinema is up for grabs in a prize draw to raise money for the city's Christmas lights.

The Ely Traders' Association launched the draw last week, and more than £500 has been already been raised.

Tickets, priced £1, are available from shops around Ely.

Second prize is a hamper packed with goods from the city's stores, and the third winner will receive a meal for two at the Bk Thai Restaurant in Ely.

Chairman of the Ely Traders' Association, Elaine Griffin Singh, said: "We really want to encourage people to come forward and support their city."

"All the money we raise will go directly towards buying something extra for the Christmas lights in Ely.
