LITTLEPORT teenager Trevor Loveridge has been recalled to prison to finish a jail sentence he was given last year, magistrates heard this week.

Loveridge was released early, on May 25, but earlier this month the Home Office decided he should be sent back inside, and his earliest release date is now November 23.

On Thursday, Ely magistrates decided that the motoring charges facing Loveridge are so serious that they can only be dealt with in the Crown Court.

Loveridge, 19, of Parsons Lane, is accused of taking two cars without the owners' permission when he was a banned driver, and driving them dangerously.

It is alleged he took a Rover Metro in Queen Adelaide on September 22 and drove it dangerously on Branch Bank and Prickwillow Road, and took a Ford Fiesta on September 25, and drove in dangerously on Hale Fen.

Loveridge did not indicate pleas, and the case was adjourned for a committal hearing on November 2.
