Littleport Community Primary School unveiled its new school flag this week.
Designed by Year 4 pupil Callum Markwell, the flag was revealed to the school in a special assembly on Friday.
The ceremony was also attended by five Year 11 students from Ely College, who were specially commissioned to create the flag based on Callum’s design.
Callum’s effort was chosen following a competition run by head teacher John Cattermole amongst students, tasking them to create an original design for a flag linking the school and its community.
The school then commissioned students from Ely College to produce the winning design. Five College students, aided by art-teacher Clare Chacksfield were commissioned to lead the project: Charlotte Marsh, India Barton, Hollie Sheridan, Abigail Krepps and Chelsea Harrison - herself a former pupil of Littleport Community Primary.

Mr Cattermole, said: “It is wonderful that students from both schools were able to work together on this project, and everyone has played their part in creating a flag which will hang proudly in our school hall. I would like to thank everyone that was involved.”
Ely College pupil India Barton, added: “We really enjoyed working with these children. There are some very talented young artists here, and it was great to be asked back today to present their flag. Their reaction when we unfurled it on the stage made all the work worth it.”
