An iconic telephone box in a small east Cambridgeshire village has been given its annual make over as part of a season of artists opening up their studios to the public.
The quintessentially British box in Prickwillow High Street has been given what is being called a must-see dynamic and colourful twist thanks to Rick Forward.
Rick’s new installation “Exploding Art” at the village Phone Box Gallery, heralds the start of artists opening their studios to visitors for four weekends in July as part of Cambridge Open Studios.
Rick, of New from Old, will be hosting Riverside Arts group of seen artists in Little Ouse, number 202 in the Cambridge Open Studios Guide, for two of the four weekends, with many other artists local to the area opening their doors.
Inside the phone box you can also see Chris Wood’s “Light Dancers” discs working their magic.

• Rick Forward opens his studio on July 14 and 15 and 21 and 22. The Riverside Arts Group, this year comprises Caroline Forward, Rick Forward, Jeremy Peake, Kimberley Allen, Jane Frost, Rick Gordon and Ditty Dokter.
