A festive celebration of drainage in the Fens was held in Prickwillow with Father Christmas.
The ever-popular Prickwillow Museum’s Christmas Special took place yesterday (December 9) from 11am.
Hot food and drinks were available throughout the day including seasonal mince pies and jacket potatoes.
Guests could take a walk around the museum and watch large engines being run.
There was also a large static display of rural items some dating back more than a century.
Prickwillow Museum, a registered educational charity, tells the story of the drainage of the Fens, the history of the local area and the individuals who ran the drainage pumps in remote locations.
The museum showcases some of the region’s finest examples of restored diesel engines.
They are always on the lookout for more volunteers.
The museum is housed in the original Prickwillow Engine House in a picturesque setting on the banks of the River Lark.
