TWO men have been arrested after a member of the public reported a burglary in progress in Chettisham near Ely on Thursday morning.
TWO men have been arrested after a member of the public reported a burglary in progress in Chettisham near Ely on Thursday morning.
Police were called at about 1am to reports of two men breaking into a property on the industrial site in Lynn Road. The men were then seen leaving the scene in a car by a member of the public.
Traffic officers spotted the car in Deacons Lane, Ely and followed it into New Barns, at which point the driver stopped the car and the two men ran off. They were arrested in Allen Road.
A 19-year-old and a 22-year-old from Littleport, both arrested on suspicion of burglary, are currently in custody at Parkside Police Station.
