Police have launched an investigation after a man was attacked and punched to the ground in Ely on Sunday night.
Officers were called to High Street Passage at about 11.20pm following reports that a 35-year-old man had been attacked after getting into an argument with two men.
The man is understood to have been badly cut in the attack and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, for treatment.
Officers are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
