Police have issued parking guidance for parents when they drop off and pick up their children at Witchford Village College with the aim of minimising accidents.
It states: “For those who are part of the Witchford routine, please try to avoid leaving vehicles in the red box (highlighted).
“The vehicles left here cause an obstruction and create dangerous situations on the junction.”
It then details a legal stature that prohibits parking within 32 feet of a junction (except in an authorised parking space) or near a school entrance.
The statement adds: “Shona McKenzie, vice-principal of Witchford Village College, has asked us to support the school in preventing accidents caused by obstructions in this area, and of course, we will do.”
