Two people were injured following a collision on the A1123 this morning (Friday) – just minutes after reports of a diesel spillage.
Cambridgeshire police were called at about 8.30am to Newmarket Road, between Stretham and Wicken, following reports that a quantity of diesel had been spilt onto the road.
Less than 10 minutes later, police received a second call reporting a two-vehicle collision in the same area.
A spokesman said that two people had been injured in the incident and that East of England Ambulance Crews attended.
Officers closed the road because of the oil spill.
