Officers and councillors have received complaints that some disabled motorists are causing long delays in the city centre by parking on yellow lines.

They have been warned they face a £1,000 fine if they are caught breaking the law.

It is also important that able- bodied drivers exercise patience when negotiating around legally parked uses of disabled badges."
