POLICE swooped on an address in Ely on Wednesday following reports that a man had exposed himself to a group of women.

The man, who police have yet to name, was arrested at an address in the city after several residents in the St John’s Road area reported that a man had exposed himself to them before fleeing in his car.

The complaints followed a similar incident in May where a man exposed himself in the city and using CCTV footage of the two events and details given by the witnesses, police were able to make an arrest.

DC Paul Atkinson at Ely Police Station said: “We would like to thank the public for the information provided to us and we would also like to reassure them that these were isolated incidents.”

The man arrested for exposure is due to appear before magistrates in Ely on July 1.
