Officers investigating a burglary yesterday (Monday June 19) have recovered a watch which is believed to be stolen.

Detective Constable John Keerie said he is keen to find the owner, writing on the Facebook page Policing East Cambridgeshire.

“I’d be grateful if these images could be shared on Facebook - it will undoubtedly help us to trace the legitimate owner,” he said.

“The watch is of the Mabz (London) brand in what appears to be its original red box. We suspect that it was stolen recently.

“You can contact us via Facebook with a direct message, call us through the 101 service, or call anonymously with information via CrimeStoppers 0800 555 111.

“Every share of these images will help us to find the owner.”

Other items stolen in the Ely area yesterday include a pair of Hugo Boss glasses and a Canon digital SLR camera worth around £400.
