POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Soham on Saturday (Feb 27).
A 30-year-old man was walking along a footpath near the Soham Pavilion on Fountain Lane when he was approached by two men.
One of the men demanded money and his mobile phone but the man refused and a scuffle ensued. The two offenders then ran off towards the Pavilion car park and the High Street.
The men are described as a white, 20 to 25 with medium builds. The first man was wearing a woolly hat.

DC Kevin Sutcliffe, investigating, said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident or these two men in the area."
