OFFICERS are appealing for information after a car hit a fence in Wilburton.
The crash took place yesterday (Thursday, January 7) at Sharps Farm in Twentypence Road.
It is believed it happened between 2.30pm and 3.30pm when a large bang was heard. The driver did not stop and left the fence damaged. The driver also left part of a cream bumper behind.
PC Jacqueline Fuller, who is investigating, said: "We don't know exactly what time this vehicle crashed into the fence but I would ask the driver to contact me direct.
"If anyone saw this crash take place, or knows of a car without its cream-coloured bumper, please call me."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Fuller at Ely Police Station on 0345 456 456 4 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
