POLICE are appealing for information after a 35-year-old woman was grabbed by a man near the High Street in Sutton.

The incident happened at about 5.30pm on Monday, January 24, and the man ran off when the woman screamed.

The man was driving what police have described as a “distinctive” car and they hope this will help someone identify him.

The vehicle is a blue or dark green estate car, possibly a Ford with a red driver’s door.

PC Alan Radford, who is investigating, said: “The car is very distinctive as the door is a different colour to the rest of the vehicle.

“I would appeal to anyone who recognises the description to contact police as we believe the occupants may have vital information which could help our enquiries.”

INFO: Anyone with any information should call PC Radford on 0345 456 456 4 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
