Police and RSPCA raid on Waterbeach home uncovers wild finches

A group of seven wild finches have been rescued from an address in Waterbeach following a warrant by police and RSPCA.
The birds were recovered alive from a property in Bannold Road after a raid was carried out under the Wildlife and Countryside Act today (Tuesday).
The birds will be released back into the wild.
A 49-year-old man has been reported for eight offences under the Wildlife and Countryside Act. It is illegal to trap, possess or sell wild finches.
