Police advice to driver struggling with flooded Cambs road - Don’t do it ‘unless your Bond car can turn into a submarine of course’

Police watched bemused as this struggling motorist tried to get through a road in East Cambs closed because of flooding.

“Bradley Road, Burrough Green badly flooded - please avoid completely it is not worth trying to drive through it,” East Cambs Police posted on their Facebook page.

They added: “Unless your Bond car can turn into a submarine of course!”

Elsewhere in the county flood alerts have been issued for the River Cam and there are concerns for the rising level of the Lower River Cam in Stapleford and the Upper River Cam in Great Chesterford.

The 1101 at Welney remains closed because of flooding.
