PLUMBER Liam Tideswell drove at more than 100 mph as he rushed to fix a leak at his grandmother's home.

Appearing at Ely courthouse on Thursday, 21-year-old Tideswell, of Bell Road, Bottisham, admitted speeding when driving a BMW car on the A11 at Six Mile Bottom on July 21.

The court was told that Tideswell drove at speeds between 102 and 104 mph. Magistrates fined him £300 and put six points on his licence. He must pay £35 costs and a £15 surcharge.
