PLOUGHERS from across the country descended on Fordham on Saturday for a mammoth charity ploughing competition.
More than 40 ploughmen with machinery of every vintage made short work of a field in Isleham Road over the course of the afternoon, raising £400 for charity in the process.
Organiser David Seal said: "It went very well - everybody ploughed well and we all enjoyed it because it was lovely and warm."
Competitors came from as far away as Leicestershire and Essex, with Nottinghamshire's Mike Childerley taking away the title of overall winner.
Some of the funds raised will go towards the British ploughing team's efforts abroad at the European Ploughing Championships in Hungary later this year and the world championships in Ireland.
