PILGRIMS celebrating the Easter story stopped off in Burwell for a spot of tea on Tuesday. The group, who were on their way to Walsingham in Norfolk after setting out from London, carried a large wooden cross in an annual pilgrimage which is now in its 60th year. Each group of Christians will have walked an average of 120 miles by the end of Holy Week, so a welcoming from St Mary's Church in Burwell helped soothe blisters and provided a space for prayer. A special anniversary cake was baked by Pauline Miller.
