People spent the afternoon and early evening in the company of friends and family in a relaxed party atmosphere with live bands for the climax of the Feast Year, rounded off with the famous fireworks display.
Entertainment came from Split Whiskers, Tia and The Bandits, Sabertooth Timmy, Sophie Frear, Straight Through, Charliemay and Banjo and Tabasco.
The current Feast Committee was formed in 1998 following initial meetings with interested parties about how the village wanted to celebrate the Millennium. Its objectives were to promote and encourage the spirit of community in Sutton, to co-ordinate the annual Feast celebrations, to arrange social events on behalf of the village and to have fun and enjoyment whilst organising events.
