JANNICE Kinnear welcomed 30 members to the club on Wednesday. She introduced the speaker to the meeting, who was Peter Jackson from the Scotsdale Garden Centre. Peter had brought along an extensive range of plants for the garden and the house. He spoke about each of them, advising on where to plant them and care for them to ensure they bloom as long as possible. Following this excellent talk, members were invited to ask questions of which there were many. All the plants were for sale and proved to be very popular. Jannice thanked Peter on behalf of everyone. Refreshments were served in the coffee room and Jill Powley organised the raffle. The next meeting is on Wednesday May 9 and the speaker will be writer and historian Mike Petty.
