MRS Hancock welcomed everyone to the meeting on June 14. Names were checked for the forthcoming outing to the Jenyns Arms and Hunstanton on July 20. Mrs Mackenzie took names of members wishing to go on the outings with the Foxwood group. Due to another engagement, Billy Baxter was unable to come to the meeting. A new date was arranged for the November meeting. Hannah from Pet Doctors was welcomed with her talk 'life of a veterinary nurse'.

Hannah gave an interesting account of how she became a nurse. She is the head nurse at Pet Doctors and enjoys the work.

Mrs Powley presented her with a donation, which will go to the charity for Canine Protection. Refreshments were served and there was a raffle. Mrs Powley read out a letter of thanks for a donation given to the Guide Dogs Association. Mrs Long read an amusing reading called 'how to give the cat a pill' and also a poem written by Alan Lockerby. Janet Gill also gave some readings. The next meeting will be on September 13 when the speaker will be from Emmaus.
