A REWARD for information has been put up by a parish council after vandals caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to a community meadow.
Vandals attacked and shattered a wooden pond-dipping platform at Fairchild’s Meadow, near Chewells Lane, during half-term week leaving it snapped and unsafe for use.
Councillors at Haddenham Parish Council have responded by putting up a small financial reward for any information that leads to a conviction.
A spokesman for the council said: “It took a great deal of hard work from willing volunteers to put the platforms in place and make them safe to use. Looking at the platform now it must have taken the same amount of effort to damage it and by more than one person.”
If you have any information please contact Jenny Manning, Haddenham parish clerk on 01353 749919 or contact Cambirdgeshire police on 101.
