MORE than 20 children took part in the first Ely Summer Music School, organised by Rebecca Duckworth and Helen O’Reilly at St Peter’s Church.
Children participated in string sessions, musicianship games and a choir session followed by a short concert for parents.
Children were able to attend masterclasses in voice and strings, honing their performing skills, and there are plans for the string players to continue playing together.
A second music school is planned for next August to include woodwind and brass, in addition to voice and strings.
