A group of King’s Ely students have received conditional offers to study at Oxford and Cambridge.
Madeleine Pinto has been offered a place to read classics at St Hilda’s, Oxford; Alex Piggot has received an offer from Merton College, Oxford to read history and George Ryan has been successful in securing an unconditional place to read biological sciences at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford.
Yuki Kimura, who came to King’s from Japan when she was in Year 7, has an offer to read philosophy, politics and economics at St John’s College, Oxford, which is one of the most competitive and sought after courses available in the UK.
Finally, Adam Hatoum has been offered a place at Robinson College, Cambridge, to study medicine.
Head of King’s Sixth Form academic, Francis Young, said: “Places at Oxford and Cambridge are increasingly competitive. This is a superb achievement for the five students and a testimony to their hard work and dedication.”
