Vice President Ruth Ginn opened the meeting on Friday, February 23. Vera Seal welcomed Dick Hatley and his group from Fordham who provided the afternoon's entertainment. Accompanied at the piano by Bridget Hickich, the group sang a selection of well known songs. A solo was sung by Dick Hatley and John Pryke told funny tales. Members enjoyed a sing-along of favourite songs.
A reading was given by June Moody, also taking part were Alan Mason and Brian Moody. The group brought their programme to a close with singing. Joan Springett thanked them on behalf for a lovely afternoon.
Refreshments were served and Vera Seal organised the raffle. Members were reminded that there would be no meeting at The Pavillion today (Friday) as it was the World Womens' Day of Prayer, which takes place in the Methodist Church at 2pm.The meeting closed with the singing of the club hymn.
