Members of the Over- 60s Club met in the Walter Gidney Pavillion on Friday. Mrs Gibbon welcomed everyone and gave out the announcements. Mrs Seal was pleased to welcome the return of Daniel Schuman who gave an excellent afternoon's entertainment. Daniel sang a selection of popular songs and also some older numbers for community singing. In between his solos, Daniel told some humerous tales. Vera Seal thanked Daniel on behalf of the members. A collection was made for the Viva group, which amounted to £50 and this was presented to Daniel. Refreshments were served followed by the raffle. During the afternoon the men played dominoes in the adjoining room. The meeting was brought to a close with the singing of the club hymn.
