MRS W Murfitt welcomed everyone to the meeting on August 11. Mrs Gibbon apologised on behalf of the speaker who was not able to come to the meeting. A new date has been arranged. Games of bingo were played, with Betty Lanagan calling the numbers assisted by Jean Wells and Jean Peacock checking the cards. Refreshments were served and there was a raffle to boost the club funds. During the afternoon the gentlemen enjoyed games of dominoes in the adjoining room. The meeting was brought to a close with the singing of the club hymn.
