MRS P Gibbon welcomed members to the club on a very wet Friday afternoon. The speaker for the afternoon was Rosemary Wheeler whose talk was called 'hats galore'.
Everyone enjoyed her demonstration of the many hats she had brought with her, a different hat for every occasion. Every Easter, Rosemary has a new hat and these are always mauve, which is the colour for Easter according to the religious calendar.
Thanks were extended to her for a lovely afternoon. Refreshments were served by the ladies and Vera Seal organised the raffle. The afternoon was brought to a close with the singing of the club hymn.
