On June 9, members of the Over-60s club were joined by friends to celebrate the Queen's 80th birthday.
Mrs Murfitt welcomed everyone and said Grace. Lunch was provided. Peggy Gibbon read out a letter she had received from the Queen, thanking everyone for their good wishes. Johnny Neale proposed the toast and everyone joined in the singing of the National Anthem. For the remainder of the afternoon, music for dancing, or just relaxing to, was provided by Pam Bailey and Johnny Neal. Tea and cake was served and there was a raffle. Thanks were extended to everyone who donated the prizes and to everyone who helped to make the afternoon such a success.
