The meeting of the Over-60s Club took place in the Walter Gidney Pavilion on March 24. Mrs Murfitt welcomed everyone and Mrs Gibbon gave out the announcements. Mrs Seal was pleased to welcome Dr Dorothy Frost to the meeting with her talk on Tibet. Dr Frost told members about the history of Tibet before going on to talk about her three- week tour of Tibet with her husband Richard which they found to be very interesting.

Members were also shown a video relating to the talk. Diane Wheeling thanked Dr Frost on behalf of the members. Tickets were on sale during the afternoon for the forthcoming music hall, starring Dottie Wayne, on May 5. Refreshments were served and Mrs Seal organised the draw. The meeting was brought to a close with the singing of the club hymn.
