ON Friday, chairman May Gillett welcomed members to the Over-60s Club.

The club song was sung and birthday chocolates were given out.

The 49 Club winner was Rene Nicholas, who received £40. The competition was a pretty parcel, judged by Mr Casborne. Next competition will be a Christmas table arrangement. For our entertainment, Mr Casborne organised the quiz. Mrs Fox and Mrs Manthorpe served teas. Next meeting Mrs Newton and Mrs Peacock will be in charge of teas. The Fenlanders Band will be entertaining at our next and last meetings before Christmas. There will also be a table-top sale at the village hall and members are requested to please bring along items suitable for the sale. Also, we need volunteers to help with emptying the cupboard, washing up and selling the items.

Members please note that the bus, for Upwell Christmas dinner, departs at 5.30pm from The Limes.

INFO: We are always looking for new members. Meetings are on alternate Fridays, commencing at 2pm at the village hall. Please feel free to call in without obligation. A warm welcome is assured. Annual fee is £4. Phone May Gillett on 01353 860947 for enquiries.
