On Friday, Ellen Webb welcomed everyone to the meeting. Mrs Gibbon gave out the announcements prior to welcoming Mike Petty local historian, researcher and writer. Mike gave a very interesting and informative talk on the life and the poetry written by Soham poet James Chambers in the 1830 s. Mrs Gibbon thanked him on behalf of the members. Mrs V Seal organised the raffle and refreshments were served. Names for the mystery tour were taken.The meeting was brought to a close with the singing of the club hymn accompanied at the piano by Mrs Fordham.
