ON Friday (November 3) chairman May Gillett welcomed members to the Over-60s Club. The club song was sung and birthday chocolates were given out. The 49 Club winner was June Peacock, who received £40. The competition was a pretty vase, judged by Mike. Next competition will be a fancy carrier bag.

Mike entertained us with 'play your cards right', members thoroughly enjoyed his humour. Next meeting, Mrs Wheeler and friends will be entertaining us with monologues and singing.

Olga Hopkins and helper provided and organised a buffet. Mrs Hall and Mrs Lambert will be in charge of teas next meeting.

We received a letter with regard to flower arrangements. The Methodist Church will be having a Christmas tree and St George's Church, a cradle. If any members would like to help, it would be much appreciated.

We are always looking for new members.

INFO: Meetings are on alternate Fridays, commencing at 2pm at the village hall. Please feel free to call in without obligation. A warm welcome is assured. Annual fee is £4. Phone May Gillett 01353 860947 for enquiries.
