TWENTY-nine members attended the tour meeting on May 3 in the church hall. Our chairman Deryk Ellwood introduced us to Ian Kippax who showed us several films of the Grand Canyon, France, Holland, Scotland, Newcastle, Gateshead, Ely Cathedral and the Shuttleworth Collection of vintage cars.
He also showed a ploughing match at Soham with the Shire horses and tractors and memories of the way we were. Tea and biscuit were served by Joan Vail, Joan Lowe and Jean Wakefield. Birthday celebrations were sung for Beryl Logan and Dick Phillips. Deryk Ellwood had a plant stall in aid of club funds.
On April 26, we joined forces with Little Thetford Club and had a trip to Van Hague's Garden Centre and then on to the London Eye.
