Thirty King’s Ely runners will represent the school in the annual Cambridgeshire County Schools Cross Country Championships after experiencing success at the Isle of Ely District competition.
The school hosted the annual race last Thursday (December 1) and welcomed Ely College, Witchford Village College, Neale-Wade Academy and Cromwell Community College students, who went head-to-head over six races.
King’s Ely runners performed impressively to win in every category and secure the Islen of Ely Cross Country Shield.
Alexandra Marshall, James Shoenberg, Rebecca Daniel, George Clift and Claudia Law all won their races, and 30 pupils will now go on to take part in the county schools competition on January 21.
