IT is surprising how often we find ourselves focusing on the faithfulness of God in our worship, but it happened again on Sunday morning. We were clearly being encouraged by the Spirit to put our trust more and more completely in the Lord and His faithfulness to His promises. The Pastor's address was the first of two about the New Covenant, which itself features unbreakable promises and how we are to respond to them.

In the afternoon, Ely's Civic Service was held at the church in the company of our mayor, the chairman of the district council, several local councillors and a number of visiting dignitaries. The pastor's address was a call to the civic authorities and the church of Ely to investigate ways in which we might work together in rebuilding community in our district.

Sunday service: 10.30am (including Holy Communion). The pastor will speak further on the New Covenant. CrËche and Sunday School will be provided. All are welcome.
